Missing Who We Were

Today has been a day in which I have missed how it was.

I miss my family.

I miss my friends.

I miss local music.

I miss my local coffee houses.

I miss my hometown.

I miss my local bookshop.

I miss the places I’ve been to.

I miss the people I have met.

I miss being a kid.

I miss people’s faces; some I haven’t and won’t see in a long time.

I miss who I was a year ago, as today I find myself comparing who I was then to who I am now.

I miss all of these things — knowing it’ll be some time until I get to experience any of them again.

Today I have been sad about it, but today I smiled too. Knowing that I have been able to experience those things. And one day soon, you and I will be able to experience those things again.

It’s a tough time, I encourage everyone to keep going, be kind to themselves and reach out to those you care about.

Love, Tim 💙
